About Erika

Erika earned her degree of Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado.  She is licensed in Colorado and certified through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  Currently Erika is enrolled in the demanding program of Bachelor of Nursing at Denver School of Nursing. She will finish her degree in June 2017 and will continue on to earn her Master’s of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree as the next step of a truly holistic and integrative practitioner of health.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts  in English and Communication from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2000, and has since lived abroad and traveled extensively in Central and South America.  Erika continues her education and expands her skills through yearly trainings and immersions in all facets of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Erika is passionate about healthy living and optimal wellness in her life and for each patient she treats.  She believes in the bodies’ innate knowledge and wisdom and feels that with a combination of acupuncture, herbal therapy, nutritional change and personal work, everybody has the opportunity to heal.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the focus is not only the symptoms or acute problem, but also in uncovering the root issue which culminates into trauma or disease.  Acupuncture treats a myriad of conditions and Erika specializes in a number of these issues. She utilizes Chinese medicine, energy therapy and herbal and nutritional supplements to treat those recovering from: long term, debilitating disease, food allergies, gastro-intestinal disorders, chronic fatigue disorder, sports injury and pain to asthma and anxiety. She formulates extensive healing plans and guides each patient to take control of their own health in a manner that suites them personally. Erika welcomes the opportunity to treat anybody in need of help. She is a compassionate, qualified and caring practitioner, striving to help her patients reach optimal wellness in both body and life.
